If you put the unit down in a horizontal position, the lubricating oil from the compressor could leak and reach the refrigerating pipes. Therefore we urge you to avoid laying the unit down on the side even for a very short while. However, if laying the unit down in a horizontal position cannot be avoided, make sure to wait at least one hour before you turn on the unit after you have put it back in its correct upright position.
